Carol Finger

Horse Trainer, Emphasis on Equine Biomechanics - Rider Biomechanics

A lifelong horsewoman, Carol has spent decades exploring the many paths of horsemanship with curiosity, creativity, and a deep respect for the horse. Raised on a cattle farm in the Midwest, her journey began in 4-H and grew to include experience in gaited horse training, colt starting, broodmare development, show horse prep, exhibitions and demos, cowboy mounted shooting, and mountain trail riding.

Her diverse background spans disciplines such as Natural Horsemanship, Doma Vaquera, Classical Dressage, Academic Equitation, Vaquero-style ranch roping, and biomechanics-based training. This broad exposure has given Carol a wide array of tools to draw from as she works to develop her horses' minds and bodies while honoring their individual personalities and talents.

Though she no longer trains horses for the public, Carol remains passionate about supporting other riders.

She helps them navigate the often overwhelming landscape of modern horsemanship by encouraging curiosity, discernment, and trust in their own instincts. Her philosophy centers on finding joy in the journey, creating biomechanically sound training rooted in play, and building relationships grounded in mutual understanding.

Above all, Carol invites horse-people to imagine their ideal relationship with their horse, clarify the "why" behind their goals, and take meaningful, consistent steps toward that vision.
