Lisa Jacobson

Veterinarian | Bodyworker | Lifelong Horsewoman

Lisa Jacobson’s journey with horses began in childhood, rooted in a deep love that has shaped every part of her life. From her earliest years spent brushing manes and cleaning stalls, to her career as a veterinarian and bodyworker, Lisa has always followed the lead of the horse.

After seven years working as a hunter/jumper trainer in Florida, she pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian, graduating from Colorado State University in 1999. Her dedication to equine wellness took her through a prestigious ambulatory internship at Peterson Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, FL, and eventually led her to Montana, where she ran a thriving equine practice that served over 5,000 horses.

As her practice evolved, so did her philosophy. Lisa began weaving in holistic modalities—homeopathy, herbal medicine, and bodywork—to address the whole horse. What started as curiosity grew into a calling to approach care from a place of balance, integration, and compassion.

Her commitment to equine welfare extends beyond private practice. Lisa served as president of the Montana Horse Sanctuary and has been deeply involved in rescue and rehabilitation for more than 20 years. Today, she continues to offer wisdom and care from her home in Colorado, where her pastures are filled with the horses she’s welcomed into their forever home.

Lisa brings a grounded, heart-led approach to every conversation—reminding us that true healing happens when science and soul meet.
