BioStar US began not in a boardroom, but in Tigger Montague’s own kitchen in Charlottesville, Virginia. Faced with a high-performance horse suffering from severe, treatment-resistant bursa inflammation, Tigger was told by her veterinarian, Dr. Tim Ober, that the only option left was a surgical neurectomy — a last-resort procedure with permanent consequences.

Unwilling to give up, Tigger turned to what she knew best: whole food. She began supporting the horse’s recovery with a simple combination of sprouted and whole foods. What followed surprised everyone — the inflammation subsided, the horse came sound, and surgery was no longer necessary. From this experience, Furnace EQ was born: a blend designed to stimulate nitric oxide production and reduce inflammation in the equine body.

That formula became the catalyst for BioStar, a now-thriving company dedicated to creating whole food supplements for horses and dogs. Grounded in nutritional wisdom and built on real-life results, BioStar continues to raise the bar for wellness in animals.
